"How'd you know his name?" Sora's eyes narrow. How do I explain what just happened?

"Uhm.. I don't. Mio does." He raises an eyebrow, unsure of what I mean. I bring a hand up to my chest. "Something happened, she said she.. was helping Kairi." The vision comes to my head, another blond girl to my left, I..Mio knows her as Namine, uses magic to break the lock on a cell. Kairi. She was stunningly beautiful. Her hair had grown out since the last memory I saw her in, and she was undoubtedly perfect. Namine nods and says something to me, before taking off with Kairi. I start to run after them, but my legs are pulled down. Dusks. There's no way to defend myself this time, but at least I know where I'll wind up.

"Rea?" Sora places his hands on my shoulders and I'm jolted out of the memory. "What about Kairi?" I take a step back, letting his hands slide off of me.

"Uhm. Mio, she got a-attacked while helping Kairi escape." I furrow my brow. "But she's still in the castle, with Namine." He nods slowly, still giving me that same concerned look.

"Are you okay?" My eyes are quick to meet his. I'm hurt, and that's probably visible on my face. I feel my furrowed brow, I feel my prominent sneer.

"No." I turn on my heel and watch as my teammates who fainted get up and recover from their slumber. "But I don't really feel like talking about it.. not yet."

"You always say that, Rea, and then it boils over and you explode into something you regret. Are you really sure you don't want to talk about it?" He sounds mad, and the only thing I can manage to do is look back at him and offer my best loving smile.

"It's okay, the skies are clearing up." He looks up, confused by my statement, but the rain had indeed stopped. Blair places her hand on my shoulder, offering me a knowing smile. I give her a nod and look to the castle in the distance. "We should probably go." We continue down the dark alley paths, reaching a cliff, with no visible way to reach the castle.

"There has to be a path somewhere." Mickey looks around, and a large white flash comes from one section of the castle. Sora blocks the light with his hand, causing his keyblade to appear, and without a second guess he points it up to the castle. A large beam shoots up from the center, and a ramp up to the castle appears over the cliff.

"Kairi... We're almost there." Does she have any humor? Does she laugh at your jokes? Do you stay up for hours talking? Is this none of my business? "Kairi! Where are you?" Mickey slaps the back of Sora's head, causing him to rub his spiky hair with a pout.

"Shh! Remember where we are! This is their stronghold!" Mickey takes off down a hall, and before we can start after him, Goofy points us in a different direction.

"I think we've got company." Sora looks to the adjourning room before giving a nod and leading us through a few hallways. It was eerie, there were no heartless, no nobodies, and I could barely hear any noises. As we enter one final, large hall, the man we know as Saix is waiting for us.

"Sora, you've done well." He gives a smirk from a high ledge on the north wall of the room.

"Where's Kairi?" Sora grips his keyblade angrily, and I deal with the familiar taste of nausea burning in my throat.

"Who knows? I expect she's catching up with her friend from the darkness."

"What do you mean?"

"She doesn't need you anymore."

"I'm supposed to believe that?" I can feel the tea from earlier threatening to come back up, with a less than pleasant lemon tinge.

"Well, you don't have to... but you can believe this-- Organization XIII has no further use for you. Just look there," His gloved hand points up to the heart shaped moon. "Our Kingdom Hearts. Thanks to you, we've collected countless hearts. Can you hear the euphoria? Now, all they need is one more helping from the keyblade bearer!" With a laugh and a snap, heartless begin pouring out of the walls. We were surrounded, and I was so close to puking that I was pretty sure the heart racing would just send me into a seizure.

"We have to fight!" Donald shouts, but it's apparent Sora is doubting himself.

"But... Kingdom Hearts!" Was this a panic attack? I hadn't had a panic attack since... Since I was a kid. When my parents left. Was that really it? Abandonment induced anxiety?

"Sora!" There she was. My own personal nightmare. "Sora, it's really you!"

"Kairi!" Heartless start circling in on Sora, and I catch the look of determination in Kairi's eyes. She is not me.

"Back OFF!" Flowering Quince is in my hand as I charge down the heartless, the fire spells are burning stronger, and i'm casting faster than I ever thought I could. The thunder spell takes out the last in the circling pack around Sora, and I look up to the redhead on the balcony, one foot over like she was about to jump down, but frozen in place looking me dead in the eyes. I grip my weapon tightly in one hand, give her a look that made myself apparent, before turning back to Sora. "You okay?" He tilts his head, giving me a smile that calms my heart. He pushes some of my hair behind me ear.

"Yeah, thanks." My eyes go back to the redhead, who shakes off what she saw and jumps down off the balcony anyways, heartless circle her. A large flash of light appears, and the heartless around her disappear. A man in an organization coat hands her a keyblade. Great. Another damn keyblade bearer to muck up my story.

"This time... I'LL fight. You know Sora's completely hopeless without us! C'mon, Riku!" Was that an attack? Don't make this personal, you'll really regret the outcome. I begin taking down heartless, the determination swirling through my veins again. Her close proximity to him made me wary, but I will not lose to her. I will not deal with this NOW of all times.

Heartless after heartless, my agility and training have proved me to be superior to her, but her unfair advantage of having an actual weapon forged from light puts her not far behind me in number of heartless destroyed. As I let out a scream, slashing at a heartless with what I hope is a final blow, it vanishes right in front of me. All of the heartless vanish.

"Have you been a good boy?" The shmuck from Beast's Castle, back on the ledge where Saix once stood. Xigbar. "Looks like you havent. Sora! Roxas!"

"Did he just call me Roxas?" Right. I still haven't told him. Oops.

"You've really put the organization in a pickle. I guess that must be why the keyblade chose you, but MAN, did it pick a dud this time. You don't look like you're half the hero the others were." I place a hand on Sora's shoulder, Kairi and I exchange another glance.

"Are you done rambling?" Sora growls.

"Rambling? As if! All I'm trying to tell you, traitor, is that your time is up!" As his hands raise, his large spears appear, readying themselves for an attack. He jumps to the floor with a smirk. "You really shouldn't have betrayed us." I take a dash towards him with my weapon, but his spears form an x, blocking my attack and allowing him to teleport up onto the ledge again. As I turn, his lances make aim at Sora, and I'm back to running again. Nobody could touch him.

"REA!" One spear falls to the floor. I'm not a very big girl, but if I stretch myself far enough, my keyblade reaches one side just far enough to drop the spear before impact... and my left shoulder reaches just far enough to take the hit meant for Sora. Sora looks horrified. Blair's on my side. But Kairi's look... that was what made it worthwhile. The sudden realization that I am more than what I appear to be, ten times stronger, ten time faster, and ten times overflowing with love and loyalty... and I would not let a single person touch the source of my love and loyalty. Sora was mine, and I was not about to give him up.

"This is going to hurt, and I'm sorry." She takes a deep breath before yanking the spear from my shoulder. I cringe, but nothing hurt as bad as the necklace did that day.

"What the hell are you thinking? I could've taken care of that." Sora steps up and gives Blair a potion, being sure to keep a wary eye on Xigbar and his weapons.

"Couldn't let him hurt you." I give him a small smile, my half lids hinting at my sadness.

"You're reckless." He sighs, and I give a small laugh.

"And in love."

"You clever little sneak!" Xigbar meets up back down on the floor, my  shirt was torn in the back, but I could feel my wounds sealing over from the potion applied. I rolled my shoulder, not too bad. We're back in business.

"You're asking for it, dude." Blair laughs and cracks her knuckles. "See, if it were someone else, you wouldn't be so fucked! But you touched his little star." She lets out another laugh "Aw man, you should've seen what happened to the last guy!" Xigbar chuckles.

"I'm fully aware of what happened to Hikaru, let's not forget his betrayal to Maleficent lead to a partnership with the organization. However, the organization is not as weak as young Hikaru was."

"And not a single one of you is strong enough to hold back the power of love." Blair summons her keyblade, Giving Sora a hard pat on the back. "Go get em, tiger!" Sora takes off, and I feel the smile come to my face. This was getting kind of fun.

"Oh, HELL YES!" Kairi's in awe as I run past her, and as I knock down several of Xigbar's lances, I begin to notice the remaining flower left on my keyblade fall to the ground. Was it reverting? It couldn't be, not with this feeling. Was it me? Was it the weapon? I wasn't about to be over powered. I don't let that sort of thing happen. This surging feeling is me, the weapons not taking over me, I'm taking over the weapon. And it happens again. The flash, the flow of power, I'm back in the game, even better than the old me. Flowering Quince has bloomed again, with bright blue flowers that give so much contrast it's like the thorns don't even exist at all.

"You've really got to cut that shit out!" Blair shouts, knocking down the rising lances. "I'm getting jealous, over here!" I let out a laugh. This was light, everything was light. I was me.

"Sorry, I guess only one keyblade comes with being BASIC!" Blair drops her jaw for a moment, before she shakes it off with a laugh, probably recognizing that my verbal abuse wasn't to her at all. A determined look at Xigbar, who's taking blow after blow of Sora's fury. My hand reaches into my pocket, and I pull out a small stone. "Guess I should finally use this thing.." I touch the small stone to my lips before throwing it down to the floor, causing it to crackle and explode with a puff of red smoke. Merlin had given me this summon stone, and I was very eager to see what was inside. "A dog.." I stare at the small white pup, before my eyes catch on a lightning shaped mark on his side. I kneel down and check the tag for a moment, before rising back up and looking to Xigbar. "Okay then... Bolt. Speak?" The dog jumps around, planting all feet on the ground securely and taking in a deep breath of air, before releasing an earth-shattering bark in Xigbar's direction. He's thrown against the wall, and Sora and Blair look back to me in awe before delivering the final few blows to the man with the eye patch. I let a wide smile come to my face before scooping the small dog up in my arms. "Yesss! Good boy! Good boy." The dog plants his tongue on my cheek before he vanishes back into the summon stone. I carefully retrieve it from the floor and meet Sora and Blair in front of Xigbar.

"I lost? Me?" He stares at his gloves and Sora glares down at the man.

"Why did you call me Roxas?"

"Wouldn't you like to know." He begins to fade away, smirk written on his face.

"Sora, Kairi's in trouble!" They weren't ground level anymore, the man in the coat or Kairi. Instead, the were up on the second floor, on the balcony they were previously, fighting countless heartless. Did she miss the show?

"We're coming!" Sora leads us out the hallway and up the stairs, meeting the two on the second tier of ledges. As we approach, Kairi takes down the last heartless. Donald drops his jaw.

"Kairi, you were great!" She tucks some hair behind her ear, and Sora approaches her. I could hear the footsteps, just as I had in my dream. I swallow the lump in my throat.

"You are different, Kairi, but I'm just glad you're here!" She looks up to him.

"You and Riku never came home, so I came looking for you." Sora looks to the floor, scratching the back of his head.

"Sorry." I flinch as she rushes up and wraps her arms around him. I beg for him to look over here.

"This is real..." His arms slowly wrap around her, and I cant speak. But Blair clears her throat, drawing both of their attention.

"You're gonna make Rea jealous, y'know." Kairi looks to me and then back up to Sora, who looks over, then back to her. Please don't say it.

"Right, I almost forgot." Sora looks up at me with a smile, and I feel like I could just fall to the floor and break down at that moment. "Kairi, this is Rea. My girlfriend." Her eyes widen a little bit, and she looks over to Blair, pretending to whisper.

"Is she alright in the head, who would date this weirdo?" Sora's jaw drops and Blair and Kairi share a laugh, but she stops herself short as she looks off to the right. The man in the coat was about to leave through a dark portal.

"Riku, don't go!" He stops, and I look over to Blair, who narrows her eyes. She blocks him from the exit. "Riku."

"I'm no one. Just a castaway from the darkness." She looks over to the group. "Sora, Blair, come here! Say something to him!" She runs over and drags the two in front of the tall man. "Just, just touch him, you'll see." Blair looks like she's been hit by a truck, and Sora simply widens his eyes, like just the touch had truly shown him.

"Riku... it is you." Blair steps back, shaking her head, and Sora falls to his knees, holding Riku's hand in his. "I looked for you... I looked for you everywhere!" A tear slides down his cheek and my heart stops.

"Pull it together, Sora." Riku sighs. "I didn't want you to find me."

"So.. all those clues, that whole time, it really was you?" I place my hand on Sora's back and help him up, wiping the tears from his cheeks. The man looks at me, his eyes shocking me and holding me in place.

"I was starting to worry you guys weren't ever gonna catch on. Sora never really picked the brightest friends."

"What do you mean by that!" Donald crosses his arms and I smile, sending a wink back at him.

"I can see that." He shakes his head with a chuckle. I see Kairi cross her arms from the corner of my eye.

"Why didn't you let me know you were okay?" I take Sora's hand in mine as he speaks, and Riku turns away from his friend.

"I didn't want you to see me like this." He looks down to his hands. "I couldn't. I fought with Ansem.. with Xehanort's heartless-- when it invaded my heart, and I won. But to use the power of darkness, I had to become Ansem myself." I'm finally piecing together the shocked look on Blair's face. The truth was that he wasn't the Riku she remembered, not because he had grown older, but because he had changed forms entirely.

"Does that mean... you can't change back?" Kairi's quiet, but still the only thing we hear.

"This battle isn't over, and until it is, I still need the power of darkness." He clenches his fist and Sora regains his determined look.

"Then let's finish it. You're still Riku, no matter what!" He look to me, then to everyone else with a wide smile. "So how 'bout it: Think we can handle one last final rumble together? The king's waiting!" It hit me then, faster than I realized. I never really saw it coming in the first place, never assumed that now would be the time I'd have to face it. Just one word.

Final.
